Museum Glass
At Sallie Fisher’s Art Gallery, we know that the first line of defense for your artwork is glass, the protective barrier that sits between the contents of any picture frame and the outside environment. It should be transparent and is usually made of glass or acrylic. This framing component plays a very important role in providing your artwork with much needed protection from air pollutants, dust, moisture, temperature fluctuations, and any physical damage.
All work is done in our frame shop.
Matting
Mats make your pictures shine for greatest impact, but they also serve a protective purpose. Mats create space between your picture and the acrylic or glass front for air to circulate which prevents condensation from building up that can cause mildew or buckling over time. To put it lightly, they’re kinda miraculous.
Moulding
Sallie Fisher’s offers one of the largest selections of mouldings in our area. We have display of over hundred moulding samples and handcrafted museum-style frame samples available to suit any style or taste.
